NE Pack Regular Season Game Procedures

26-27 NE Pack - Regular Season Game Procedures


  • Home team wears WHITE jerseys

  • Away team wears DARK jerseys

  • Start game on clean ice

  • 5 minute warmup - Host site will let you know before the event if pucks are provided for warmups. All teams need to be prepared to bring warmup pucks for all events. 

  • Three 17 minute periods for all ages

  • Resurface after the first WHISTLE in the second period AFTER the 8:30 minute mark for all ages. The game will resume with a faceoff from where it would have taken place after the whistle. 

  • If the game is tied after regulation, there will be a 3v3 5 minute OT period 

  • Teams will switch ends at the start of the OT period and will have the “long change”

  • If there is no goal in the OT period, the game will go to a 3-man shootout to determine the winning team

  • In the shootout, the shooters can repeat after the first 3 players have gone

  • Each team has one timeout per game


*All games will use GameSheet for scoring. 


*Rosters: All 26-27 NE Pack Showcases will be following USA Hockey rules for all games. Each team will need to have a signed official roster from USA Hockey. 


Standings - Regular Season:                    

Regulation win - 3 points                

OT/SO win - 2 points                

OT/SO loss - 1 point
