FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Northeast Pack Hockey League Announces Addition of

Boston Jr. Eagles for the 2027-2028 Season

The Northeast Pack Hockey League is pleased to welcome the Boston Jr. Eagles organization to the league for the 2027-2028 season, with participation at the 15U and 17U DL age divisions. The Boston Jr. Eagles, established in 1993, is one of the premier youth hockey programs in the country, developing many players starting at a young age into college athletes and beyond. At the midget levels, they have consistently had success in both their Massachusetts district as well as on the national stage, regularly sending teams to the USA Hockey National Championships.

“We are extremely excited to welcome the Boston Jr. Eagles organization to the Northeast Pack Hockey League for the 2027-2028 season,” said League Commissioner Mark Mobus. “Adding the Jr. Eagles at both the 15U and 17U DL levels is an exciting opportunity for the competitive growth of our league. With this addition, we are proud to bring both DL age divisions to a total of 10 teams each for our full-time members, providing a strong foundation for a highly competitive and successful season in 27-28.”

“We are excited to join the Northeast Pack Hockey League with our 15U and 17U DL teams. We have been playing against the NE Pack organizations for years and know how competitive every team is. We appreciate the NE Pack giving us the opportunity and we look forward to our DL teams competing beginning next season,” said John Joyce, President of the Boston Jr. Eagles.

“Mid Fairfield and many teams in the Pack have a long history of great competition with the Boston Jr. Eagles. Under the leadership of John Joyce and David Hymovitz, they are recognized as one of the top youth hockey organizations in the country. We are excited to have them join the league,” said Gary Zegras, Vice President of Mid Fairfield Hockey Club.

While the full-time membership is now set at both DL levels, the league also anticipates opportunities for guest teams to participate during the 2027-2028 season. Additional details regarding guest team participation and availability will be announced soon.

The addition of the Boston Jr. Eagles reflects the Northeast Pack Hockey League’s continued commitment to providing competitive hockey opportunities, supporting player development, and building strong partnerships with organizations that share the same vision as the league.
